Good hotel, we booked by Priceline so always a lottery. Location seems bad, but if you walk out the hotel and straight down the street opposite about 100m, you get to a main road (cross to the far side) where the 120 or 124 bus takes you to the main station. Not recommended at peak times with your luggage, the... more

Hotel was great. It's a big hotel but rooms were clean and quiet. No airco but a free minibar with four drinks each day is a big plus. Parking under the hotel. 12€/day is a little bit expensive. Hotel lays a bit far from town. Indoorpool in Inox is super. Nice fitnessroom. And breakfast is one of the best buffet... more

Okay, let's get it over with - like a stay in this hotel. Has to be done, nothing terrible but didn't add anything. First impressions as you approach is that it is large but on an institutional scale, maybe it was a hospital. Second impressions are on the location - yes it is in the harbour area, but an industrial... more

First mistake I made was looking at Google maps and seeing that an S-Bahn station was a short distance away from the hotel...that short distance turned out to be a 30 minute walk with luggage. It's not surprising when I arrived that I found there were always at least five taxis in the hotel's taxi rank -- there's no real... more

I stayed here in Dec 07 with family. I had a room to myself which was a twin room. There was loads of space and a nice big bathroom. We had breakfast which is what you would have expected from Holiday Inns... a big buffet with lots of choice. Only problem was location. We had to get a bus into... more

In Hamburg for the weekend, partly for the music festival and partly to sightsee and as left it late, the Holiday Inn was one of the few options left available to us. In short, it's like many other Holiday Inns. As others have said the location of this hotel wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't a major issue either. A taxi... more

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 5 nights.Room 714 was average in size but with a good view.Bathroom was not big.The towels were very very used and small for a man's body. The sheets were'nt changed every day although room was clean. Breakfast was above average but their espresso was awful. The elevators were too slow to arrive Location is not... more

Just returned from the Holiday Inn Hamburg after a 5 day visit to the harbour festival, the hotel was great and after reading other reviews about location i couldn't disagree more. 'Yes' its not in the heart of the city or near the harbour but you have a bus stop less than 5 minutes walk from hotel or an S-Bahn... more

I have stayed here many times over the past couple of years (and over 4 months at the Elb Residence apartments hooked on to it). The rooms are all standard Holiday Inn rooms. Not huge, but about the right size for a short stay. Rooms are always clean. Exercise area small, pool small. Breakfast is expensive so if you decide... more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Hamburg during a backpacking trip through Europe in April. The hotel itself is fine. Our room was nice and clean. Location is a bit out of the way if you don't have a car. About a 15 min bus ride to main train station in city centre. My only problem with the hotel is the... more
