When you book a 4 star hotel those stars should be able to exept a 4 star standard. This hotel was a disappointment. First of all it was 28 degrees outside and for sure around 30 in the hotel room. And I have a hard time accepting that a 4 star hotel doesnt have AIR CONDITION!! Because of that we... more

Frankfurt was our departure airport, so we chose this hotel directly across from the train station, so we could hop on an early S-bahn train in the morning. The price was not too bad, and they had free internet, and really had a free minibar as advertised with 2 beers, 2 sodas, 2 OJs, and 2 waters. That all looked... more

We stayed at this hotel one night at the start and end of our trip. We were given a quad room for about 80 euros, including breakfast. The room was large, with a bunk bed for the kids and a large bed for the grown-ups. Very conveniently located right next to the station. It's a 15 min walk to the... more

I spent one night here based on the recommendation of the travel center in the Frankfurt Haupbanhof (Railroad Station). They charge a fee of 3 Euro for the booking. As a point of interest, I have used this and similar booking services in Europe and always had good luck. The benefit is that they know almost to the minute what... more

I stayed three days at the Monopol. Because of the proximity to the train station I was a little concerned given that guide-books warn about the drug addicts and prostitutes. Well, the drug dealers were invisible to me. It seems that Frankfurt now provides a free place for them to shoot up, so I didn't see any. As to the... more

The Monopol Hotel is a great deal for Frankfurt. Having been there for business, I can say that the hotel fulfills all the expectation: great location, nice room (the single room is spacier than usual), good service (the free minibar is an unusual but very welcome feature, the breakfast is good, WIFI works fine in the room), old-style furniture (but... more

This hotel does all it says on the tin. Staff were efficient and freindly. Single room was not massive but was clean and comfortable and everything worked. Extras provided were all available. Breakfast was fine without being outstanding. Didn't have any problem with noise though my room was at the rear. more

We arrived very early (7:30 am) and asked to store our luggage. We were allowed to do so and then we were asked if we would like breakfast! When we said that we weren't to check in until later in the day, the person at the desk said - "Its only breakfast - sit down and relax". The cabs and... more

Booked thru hotel.de. We had no problems with our reservation especially since I booked just around 2 weeks before our stay. We loved the free mini bar which they refilled everyday. Staying here during winter made me and my husband very thirsty so having that minibar was a definite plus. They stocked it with 1 bottle of water, 2 bottles... more

The railway station is only really a few metres away and I must say that the background noise bugged me at first but I then got used to it. There was also disturbance from coaches in the early hours or the morning, and this was a nuisance but bearable. I took a taxi from the airport and it cost around... more
