Im sure this was a nice hotel in the 80s. Now its run-down and in need of refurbishment. Its used to be the Mercure Hanau, but i suspect rather than invest in refurbishing it, they simply sold it on. Hanau has some charm, but it isn't the loveliest town, so this place fits in well. The whole hotel stinks like smoke, but our non-smoking room did not. It wasn't exactly clean though. I stayed at the Mercure for one week. The Hotel is an older building and could use a bit of updating in terms of decor, but it was clean and comfortable.
