I don't know why people may go to Braunschweig. I went there for a business meeting and booked this hotel on the recommendation of our German collaborators.

The hotel is located in a very quiet neighbourhood. I very much enjoyed the peaceful feeling of sitting on the porch at the restaurant at nightfall and listening to the absolute silence of the nearby fields, only occasionally broken by the singing of the birds. I found it quite a meditative experience. The food at the restaurant was very good, although slightly overpriced.

The room was clean and had wireless Internet access. The staff at the reception were very helpful. They also replied quickly to the emails I sent them before I had arrived, although I admit their English was a bit hard to understand!

There are bus stops at the hotel door, which could be used to go to downtown. Follow Schopenhauer Str. to get to some very beautiful lakes and hiking trails around them. A cab from the train station to... more
