We stayed at the Leineschloss Hotel for two nights in December 2006 and were pleasantly surprised. We had booked the room via the Hotel’s website, but when I called the hotel a few days before arrival to double check, I was told that there was no reservation under my name, and that the hotel was in fact fully booked. After some back and forth, I faxed the confirmation email to the hotel and received one back with a hand-written ‘everything’s ok!’ on it in German.
I was therefore apprehensive that there might be further problems upon arrival, but this was to be the only problem we encountered.
Check-in was swift, the non-smoking double room was spacious, with four poster bed, armchair and sofa, and large bathroom. Quite impressive for just £75.00 per night per room, so just £37.50 per person.
