Stayed overnight in Rostock and hadn't booked any room, just telephoned my day of arrival and turned up there in the evening. Few signs to find it, but the hostel being part of a ship (which I didn't know) shouldn´t take long to localize it.
It's a reconditioned ship moored on the quay. Carpark and a place for bycicles by the ship. It's got a typical stair-like access to the ship and a small entrance hall under the bridge. Most or all rooms are individual cabins (short of natural light) for the former crew each with a toilette. Clean, socket points and lamps.
Liberal and varied breakfast. Speaking German is an asset, they don't speak English fluently, they do speak Russian. East German character, no frills. Charming nautical environment.
