My husband and I and another couple stayed one night at the Elefant. I found their website on the internet and decided to book 2 rooms there as my research did not turn up any bad reviews. You can tell from their website they are very proud of the Elefant’s history. After maneuvering the entrance with our SUV (a very small opening into a small parking area), we went to the reception desk. The lady at the desk spoke very little English but we managed to get registered without any difficulty. Our room was very small but the bathroom was a nice size with a large walk-in shower. The hotel is not air conditioned and the windows only opened a couple of inches – a fan would have been nice to circulate the air but since we didn’t have the evening sun we were comfortable.
