We stayed 2 nights in October 2009. The hotel is fair, its 3-stars are a good description. Location is excellent, right in the new market square, within old city center. Hotel Zur Post Stralsund (http://www.hotel-zur-post-stralsund.de/eng/) is an unbelievably gorgeous hotel in Germal small town Stralsund. It has fascinating seasonal package deals. I do not understand the very positive ratings of this hotel on this site. It is the first time, tripadvisor has failed me. I stayed there one night and I would certainly not have wanted to stay longer. The room was extremely small, and had windows to an inner courtyard around which the entire hotel is built. Stayed at the Zur Post for 3 nights in May 2005 in a Kat 1 Apartment for 3 persons at 150 Euro/night, plus 6.60 Euro per night for car parking in the hotel underground car park. We drove up from Berlin, and after staying at a cheaper place there (see City Pension review), were looking for a more modern place... more
