There are two aspects of the hotel that I enjoyed: first, its excellent location (only 5 minutes from the central station, in a pedestrian zone) and the breakfast (with a wide range of choices and with very friendly service). The rooms, however, are smallish, and even if the pedestrian zone outside would make you expect quiet nights, there is a lot to keep you awake, such as the elevator or the buildings under construction facing the entrance side of the hotel. While the hotel brochure tells you that the place has been recently refurbished, it has kept a certain Wirtschaftswunder flavor and definitely refrained from turning into a designer hotel. more
