This is a small, family run hotel with about 15 hotel rooms, and a few self-catering apartments. I stayed in one of the apartments, so I can't really comment on the quality of the hotel rooms. The apartment was spacious and comfortably furnished and the owners were very friendly, but for me, the place had several drawbacks and so I moved elsewhere after half my stay. For one, their wireless internet broke down before I arrived, and while they got it fixed quickly in the hotel, they didn't for the apartments. I need easy internet access 24/7, so this was a significant problem. Also, their apartments don't have phones, which I consider a standard feature of any accommodation. Personally, I also didn't like that the apartment had a single bed, which was of course enough for a single traveler, but I just like to be able to stretch out. Finally, the location in a residential area was not bad for getting to the Ruhr Universitaet (15 min walk) but not very convenient or interesting otherwise. more
