handy location near the station and centre of town. Clean rooms. Service average. Expensive Wifi. Breakfast uninspiring. You can probably get better value elsewhere, but it is ok. more
This was my second stay at the Guennewig Residence Hotel. It is located right next to the main station and bus terminal. Train noises might be an issue for some - but I like them. On the positive side -- Excellent location, clean and functional rooms, courteous staff. Breakfast included some hot items as well as the usual German fare. Nice garden and indoor swimming pool. Quiet. On the spartan side -- no bellman, no toiletries, no bathrobe, only one towel, not very inviting lobby furnishing and decor. more

The hotel has an excellent location, perfect for exploring Bonn and surrounding areas as it is within 5 minutes walk of the main train station. Stayed at the Gunnewig Residence for one night for work. Had a meeting in central Bonn and this hotel was ideal. RECOMMENDED: A short walk from the main train station and walking to the city centre. Check-in prompt. This is a classic German hotel. Decent room size and lighting. Bedding comfortable and bathroom in good working order and functional. Despite close proxmity to train station, room noise was minimal. Overall, nothing not to recommend this for a Bonn visit. more
