Dorint Venus Berg (I think they are not part of the sofitel chain anymore) is a lovely hotel. We stayed here during December to visit the christkindl markets in Bonn and surroundings. I spent 3 days at the Dorint Venusberg in Bonn in early April with my family. It was a very quiet time just before Easter, so the hotel was very empty.
