Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in! Perfectly located just off of Alter Markt and a short walk from the river or the shops and only ten minutes from the train station you couldn’t ask for better

I stayed 3 nights on a business trip, in a room on the 3rd floor. The room is totally fine and noise isolation works well. There's no airconditioning, but the hotel provide a fan. Sleeping with open windows can be noisy. Lightining of the room can be improved, I found it quite low. The location is perfect: in the heart of the city centre, 10 minutes walking to the train station, close to metro, tram and bus lines and every service you may need is at your doorstep. Self check-in is operational out of office hours. That's convenient, even if I don't like very much the lack of a 24/7 reception. Breakfast is fine, but quite basic. The atmosphere in the breakfast room is cozy, like being at home. On the downsize, please not that there's no lift, which is problematic if you have a big luggage, problems in climbing steep and narrow stairs, and a room on the upper floors. I think this should be solved sooner or later. In my opinion, the hotel is too expensive for what it provides.

So this is a really cool little hotel. Room is compact but has everything in it including a free beer in the fridge which was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was tasty and fresh. Located very centrally, only meters from Alter Markt and a couple of minutes from the river and all the cafés there. 2 things to be aware of: 1. There is no lift 2. If your room overlooks the street, there are a couple of very busy, loud bars close by. If you are trying to get an early night, be prepared.

We stayed here for four nights. Our room was clean and quiet - overlooked a nice little square. The location was great. Near the river and the Dom and the altstadt. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only had breakfast one morning and it was very good. Parking is nothing cheap - 18 euros per day - but it was easy and convenient. Would stay here again.

We loved our stay of two nights. The location is amazing, in a quiet street but a few steps away from the action. Restaurants, bars.the Christmas market, all main sights and the station are all in a few minutes walking. The staff was friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The first night we had a strange noise coming from the electricity board (we think). We reported this in the morning and when we got back from sight-seeing, it was fixed. We really appreciated such a quick response. We would stay here again for sure!

Really nice hotel in the center of Cologne! Very hygenic, and well arranged. Nice people as well! Parking is right around the corner, breakfast was nice, right next to the river and amazingly good restaurants right in the area

Just spent 3 days in Cologne for xmas markets plus. Lint hotel is in old town and very convenient for most things. Only 200yds from cathedral and 100 yds from Rhine and riverside eateries. Hotel is clean and people are very helpful . Breakfast is good but coffee awful. The downside is the 5 story hotel has no lift and narrow staircase. Not good if carrying heavy suitcases or difficulty if mobility not 100%. Also no tea or coffee facilities so take your own. Otherwise OK.

This is a small, quite modern, tidy and nice hotel in the middle of Old Town Cologna with close to the Dome and several restaurants. Nice and very friendly staff that made you feel welcome. Good breakfast in the downstairs small dining room facing the inner courtyard. Strongly recommended!

I stayed at the hotel on business at the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum. It is in a fantastic location close to sights, many restaurants and the river. The hotel was clean and pleasant. There is no elevator but luckily I was only one floor up. The breakfast was as you might expect - nice rolls, meats and cheeses with yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs and cereals. I would stay there again.

PROS--near the center of town, well-appointed and comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff, decent breakfast buffet by German hotel standards. CONS--No lift, no air conditioning which made for difficult sleeping during some extremely warm weather, not staffed past 6 pm on weekends or past 9 pm weekdays. Nice enough stay overall that I would stay again, just not in late spring or summer. Only when cooler weather prevails.
