We stayed here February 2005, and had reserved joining rooms because I had my baby with me and wanted my parents close by. We didn't get the joining rooms (and wasn't told that at check-in) because the shower wasn't working in one of them, they did offer to move us to another hotel, but we didn't feel like moving so we stayed.
First of all, I guess I should mention that we stayed in the old building. The old building is round and makes for an interesting room layout, but compared to other European hotel rooms, it was fairly big. It has a desk for putting your laptop on to work with a very comfortable executive chair. Also has two chairs for lounging and a small coffee table. The bathroom is huge, but dark and the tile job in there looked sloppy. For a German Hotel I expected a bit more attention to detail, there were tears in the curtains and the bed spreads (not large ones), but it made everything look worn out. The beds were very uncomfortable.
