I recently stayed in Düsseldorf for 2 nights with my partner, on our recent trip around Europe & the USA. It was the end of the summer season & fairly quiet, however, Düsseldorf is never really quiet as such, & we were able to visit a lot of the city & enjoyed ourselves a great deal.
We booked our accommodation at another location, & confirmed a place to stay for the duration of our holiday. Three days before we were meant to arrive, we received an email stating that the renovations at this premises had not been completed as expected, & that a room had been booked for us at the sister-hotel (Hotel Minerva) instead. On our arrival (via train) we found the hotel fairly easily, after a 10 minute easy walk. The hotel was near HBF, & in the other direction it was also close to loads of shops (pretty much everything you need) – the location is excellent.
