If you're going to Essen, stay here. The hotel is on a pretty park plaza, surrounded by business offices, flats and a few restaurants. Stayed for 3 nights to visit Christmas Market and this hotel was fantastic. Great breakfast buffet. Staff friendly and helpful. Everything was spotless and the bar reasonably priced. This is a Holiday Inn Express, so, very much the same formula wherever you go. It was a good small and basic hotel. I am not sure if I would stay longer than 2 days since it was my first time to EU country. I did not know how small of the hotel rooms are in EU. This hotel is budget friendly compared to hotels around the area. But you get what you pay for!!... more

Got a good deal on a 2 for one stay, which worked out at 37.50 euro per night 2 adults incl breakfast. Room was basic, but very well worked out, nice shower. Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for two nights Very Clean Hotel offering basic comfortable accomodation. Excellent friendly & Helpful Staff and overall very good value for money Happy to recommend more
