I was in Soest this summer researching my early life as I was born there as dad was in the canadian military and this took me to Soest. I liked Soest a lot and found this inn charming. We had an older room right at the top of the hotel and I could hear the bells ringing from one of the many churches early in the morning. This hotel was recommended by a friend who had been stationed in Soest. The owners were two young chaps who were fun, hospitable and helpful. They spoke english well and were professional and helped us out with train connections and the like. The continental breakfast in the morning was good. The rooms were not remarkable but were clean and servicable. I had no desire to stay in a cookie cutter hotel and this was unique and I kind of felt I had stepped back in time.
