This hotel is located right on the train tracks and therefore extremely noisy all day and night. It is just impossible to get any sleep. More

“Delightful Hotel Despite Trains”

Other reviews note that a small road separates this hotel from a major rail line. That's true. However, I just didn't find this a problem despite having a room on the second floor, "rail side" of the building. “Overpriced and over a railway track!”

The hotel describes its location as in the quaint town ot Solingen Ohligs. What is doesn't say is that it over looks at least 5 high speed and local railway lines, all of them well used day and night. Solingen is not well known as a tourist destination. Still, there are many nice museums and some decent restaurants. What might surprise even more is the amount of excellent foot and cycle paths.
