My girlfriend and I spent the first five nights of our 10 day Germany vacation at Hotel Fröhlich...and they were some of the best! I was born in Kaiserslautern and my family has known all three generations of the Fröhlich family (which is how long they've owned and run this wonderful hotel). We wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting our hometown, even though they're located in Dansenberg...a 15 minute drive from downtown Kaiserslautern. (Dansenberg, by the way, is a *very* quiet small town. Perfect for restful nights, but you'll want to spend your evenings in K'town proper for a larger selection of nightlife.)

The hotel is immaculate, the rooms are bright, comfortable, and cheery, and their restaurant serves some of the best food in the Pfalz (we ate there every night during our stay, and the meals we had were by far our favorite of all the ones we had on vacation...and we ate a LOT of delicious German food!).
