I grew up in Koblenz and live in the States now. I stayed here with my husband for one night while visiting family. It's in a great location, in the heart of old the old town. The guy who checked us in was, even by German standards, very unfriendly. He was tending to the (at the time empty) restaurant and gave us an attitude of annoyance and arrogance. The room was modern and clean, furnishings looked familiar, I think they were from Ikea for the most part. There's no elevator, and no help to get heavy luggage to the 4th floor - something to consider for less agile guests. On the same note: The location is in a pedestrian zone, where cabs can pull up to the hotel only during loading hours in the morning . If you arrive at night you have to walk approx. 500 ft. more
