Nice place to stay with. Friendly folks, even though they do not get many Americans, they were very accommodative. Excellent public transportation, Staff was great, especially the young German lady, Sandy. more

Very quiet and comfortable accommodation in an exclusive and secluded setting, half an hour's tram ride from Dresden City Centre, and overlooking the River Elbe. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-furnished. Breakfast is offered in a bright breakfast room or on the terrace. more

The Therese Malten Villa [--] is situated at the eastern edge of Dresden, directly across the Elbe (by ferry) from Schloss Pillnitz—not easy to get to but worth the trip (by surburban train and streetcar) once you're there. It was built for the opera singer after which it is named, in 1893, and lovingly restored within the past decade. It... more
