The rooms were much bigger than we expected and the free wireless internet was a great bonus. The hotel staff were very knowledgable and friendly and spoke English very well. We felt the Markgraf was very good value for money. It's in a quiet square in a part of town where many students seem to live. There are frequent trams which take you to the centre in 5min or so, or you could walk it in perhaps 20. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are some reasonable restaurants nearby... more
I felt the staff went out of their way to be helpful. I went to Leipzig for a conference, and in comparing hotel experiences with my co-participants, I found I had by far the best deal: quiet at night, friendly service, spacious and pleasant room, helpful staff.
