We stayed at the Meissen Mercure in Sep. 2006 and had the most incredible room ever. The hotel is situated on the Elbe river and our corner room #15 had French doors/windows on two sides that overlooked the river. The view from the bed was of the Meissen palace and cathedral (see pic.). The room was perfect with white starched linen and down blankets. Hotel staff were nice and friendly.
The breakfast served in a sun room overlooking the Elbe is sumptuous and varied and contains every possible breakfast item. Some tables in the garden just above the river bank and access to the river. The hotel has a parking lot on the premises
