I spent two nights here on a leisurely side trip from a Berlin business trip. Apparently I was in the same two-room suite as another Trip Advisor reviewer, and I found it very comfortable. It’s very nicely furnished, with a pair of leather sofas and a big leather chair, and several well crafted wooden pieces. Most of the other rooms are smaller, and probably less expensive, although the suite is reasonably priced. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t a buffet, but was graciously served by the host, Roger Wegerich. That’s nice, but it eliminates the choice among many alternatives that you might have in a buffet. Still, the plate of cold cuts and cheese – the typical Germany breakfast – was perfectly adequate.
A previous reviewer mentioned the convenience of nearby Internet cafes, but Pension Wegerich offers complimentary WiFi if you have your own computer. Altogether, Pension Wegerich is one of the nicer places I’ve stayed in Europe.
