We have just come back from a visit to Thuringia and stayed 2 nights in the Hotel am Kaisersaal. We had wanted a hotel near to the Old Quarter and in fact the hotel was just a minute's walk away from the Kramerbrucke (Merchants' Bridge). My wife and I stayed here for two days during the past Reformation weekend. It was a simple yet elegant facility. It was very clean and had a wonderful breakfast buffet. Located within walking distance of all major old city tourist sights. Several good places to eat nearby. More than willing to return for a longer stay. more
