This was once a lovely hotel but that was long before I stayed there, it is now very much a run down hotel that is clearly lacking in investment. The reception carpet is filthy with dusty chairs and curtains that have obviously not been cleaned for years, the gym is a joke and consists of a very old exercise cycle, a sit up bench and a bench press. There is no solarium although the sauna is ok but the whole area is housed in the basement which again is in a very poor condition.

The rooms were a little better but again the curtains were dusty and dirty. Although the bedding was clean it was full of holes. there is no room service and the mini bar is all but empty. The bath room was passable but the hot water took about half an hour to come through.

The Top floor restaurant is very tired looking withe the carpets in a bad and dirty state and again the curtains were very old and very dirty. I thought the food was very poor at breakfast with the scrambled eggs unedible... more
