My wife and I stayed here in mid-April 2008 for a couple of nights, and it was spot-on for all our requirements: comfort, cleanliness, friendliness, hospitality, breakfast, price and location (for accessing Cordoba and Seville, especially, by train during the Feria holidays). Peter and Denise were excellent hosts, well prepared, even with maps, train timetables, scenic routes back to the... More

Our accomodation was lovely and very reasonably priced in comparison to what I had found in Cordoba. Peter and Denise are great hosts and will suggest places to visit in the area. We did a day driving trip to the nearby National Park as well as a nearby restored castle and an archeoligical site of a Moorish palace. You can... More

My boyfriend and I stayed there as I wanted to show him Andalucia and a friend of his had already stayed at the old school and had loved it. Our expectations were met as not only Peter and Denise are a lovely and helpful couple, but the house is charming, beautifully decorated, and clean. The location is very good as... More

This was our second visit the Old School House. The accommodation is to the highest modern standards while being situated in a charming traditional small Spanish town. Pete and Denise have redesigned and modified the old building to make it both stylish and comfortable. The AC was most welcome even in January,. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much... ..."The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly." The Good: the B&B is clean and well-maintained. The hosts, Peter and Denise, are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complementary and included a selection of cereals, fruits, yogurts, as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast made to order. The B&B was not difficult to find (we arrived via train). The rate was... More

We stayed here for two nights in August. The house is lovely and we had a lovely room to the back of the property which was private and rather like an outhouse. Peter and Denise, our hosts were very helpful and gave us advice about almost everything from visiting nearby Cordoba to which restaurants in their town to eat in. Our breakfasts... More

My family and I were looking to experience daily life in a typical spanish town within easy travelling distance of Cordoba and Seville. We experienced exactly that during our stay at The Old School House. Admittedly Posadas is no 'white washed andalucian village' in the heart of the Sierras. But the town appears to typify what one would expect to... More

After a month or so in Spain, maybe we were expecting too much local character in our accomodation. Given its name and description on their website, you would imagine that this B&B was a charming old school house surrounded by gardens reminicent of its former glory, however, In the middle of a fairly unexciting village, we found the Old School... Our wonderful British hosts spent 18 months renovating and they did a spectacular job. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful and includes bacon and eggs made to order. Parking can be a bit of a problem, but Peter can always find you a safe spot. We chose this location because of the easy access to... More

Our friendly hosts have done a beautiful job decorating this b&b. The breakfasts are good, too. We appreciated not having to stay in crowded Cordoba, so the 20 minute drive to the parking garage and the 20 minute walk to the Mezquita was a good choice for us. We loved that the Old School House was non-smoking, a rare find... More
