We chose this hotel because it seemed to be in the older part of the city. If you are going to Cadiz for the beach there are probably more convenient places to stay. If you are going to Cadiz to experience the history and culture of a very ancient and interesting city then this hotel will put you where you... more

Recently visited Cadiz-wonderful city! The hotel is lovely with helpful staff-it is at the centre of Old Cadiz. Buffet b/fast cost €12 each-there are plenty of small cafes nearby with much cheaper meal. The hotel itself is on a small side street-a little hard to find. Lovely rooms-view only of chimney pots! The pool is only open in the summer.... more

A good location Room excellent Staff very friendly and helpful We had both a dinner and breakfast in the hotel - and they were only average. If you drive and park in the hotel be prepared for some very fine maneuvering of your car into the lift from the veyr narrow entrance road - if you don't have a small... more

This hotel is right on the edge of the old centre and easy to drive to, but also easy to walk and explore the narrow streets of the old town. Parking is available right at the hotel. Yes, the beach is 15 minutes walk (if that's what you've come here for...go closer to the beach). But the location is great... more

Stayed for three nights in October & chose this hotel because we wanted to be in the old town. An excellent location, easy to find with a map & 2-3 minutes walk from the underground carpark. Being on the peninsula all the old town sites were within 15 minutes walk, with plenty of bars & cafes to visit. Check-in was... more

My girlfriend & I along with two other couples spent 2 nights at the Senator Spa whilst visiting Cadiz recently. The hotel is located on a side street, Rubio y Diaz, of the main harbour front road. It took us about 10mins to walk from there from the train station. The reception staff were friendly & welcoming & we were... more

Positive: good location, sun deck and small swimming pool having both a great view overlooking the roofs of Cadiz Negative: lots of defects in the room (wardrobe didn't open, shower broken, curtains hanging loose, snacks in minibar past sell-by date,...), staff unfriendly, anonynmous, windows didn't open Overall: would not go there again more

Stayed in the Spa Senator Cadiz for two nights in August while visting Cadiz. It was the only hotel which was available as we were quite late booking. In summary it was just "alright". To me it wasnt a 4* hotel. The room was ok, although there wasn't much floor room for baggage. The bathroom was fine, clean, no complaints.... more
