This hostel is not 'in the town of Estepona' as the website suggests, it is a 30 minute bus ride away in a small town called Cancelada off the motorway. There isn't that much there apart from a couple of restaurants and bars but no proper supermarket. If you want an evening in Estepona you have to catch the last bus home at 10.30pm.
To be fair the hostel was clean and the room was nice and a walk away from the beach, staff were friendly but the restaurant never opened for lunch dinner or breakfast despite this being peak season. We left a day early to stay in Estepona and felt like we got ripped off paying for the last night. In comparison to other places we stayed in at 58 euros per night this was not cheap.
Don't bother with Cancelada, on our last night we stayed in another hostel (Hostel el Pilar) right in the centre of Estepona in Plaza les Flores which was basic but we thought was better value for less money. more
