Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked the hotel through Bebsy.nl. Was not sure what to expect. The staff was really nice! A few tried their best to speak english which was a relief. They are not grumpy when we dont speak spanish like the waiters here in Malaga do… I requested a twin instead of a double very last minute, they helped me right away (email)! The room was clean and neat. There were little packets of shower gel and shampoo. They cleaned the room every time you go out, new packets and towels. The water smells like bleach and the locals do not prefer it. I suggest buying a bit bottle of water at the carrefour (supermarket) nearby! There is a vending machine with cheap drinks at the reception. They dont serve breakfast but they have coffee and a croissant or toast untill 10:00am. I recommend going to the restaurants at the beach, which is a 5 minute walk with cute houses. We are two girls and felt safe walking here, no weird guys haha. There is airconditioning in the room!! Its. 3 minute walk to the bus stop which has 3-4 busses that go to the city centre. You can only pay with coins, no card or paper bills. Its 1,40 per person for 1 ride. The beach beds are 5 euro per person or a bit higher, just have cash with you at all times. Uber to rhe airport is 30-35 euros. Uber to the city centre is 9 euros in the day and 16 euros in the nighttime. If you want to see the skyline, take a boat tour :) cocktails are cheap lol.

I came with a lover for a night. It s a small and quiet place, staff was kind. Something that we didn't like too much was the bed, because it was loudly, but the room and the bathroom were clean. I would come back with another lover definitely and he as well!

ADVANTAGES:Clean rooms, friendly reception, reasonable PRICES, HOtel is located quite close to the beach and its about 2 mins walk to the nearest supermarket. Disadvantages:Rooms are far to small, I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids, very loud, if somebody walk upstairs we've heard it-probably old wooden floor, definitely some rooms need refurbishment, breakfast are like croissant, ham, cheese and juice, I would rather go out for put for a breakfast instate of paying 8€ for such a basic breakfast

My friend and I recently stayed at Hotel Domus and I cannot fault the hotel at all. It is beautifully situated a 5 minute walk from the beach, the hotel itself is clean, fresh and has a lovely interior. The staff are beyond helpful and went out of their way constantly to help with anything from beach towels, places to visit, bus routes and breakfasts bought to your table. Just wanted to say a huge thank you/ gracias too all the fabulous women working at Hotel Domus.

We have recently returned from a very pleasant 5 night stay at this small quiet hotel. Situated in a residential area about 5 minutes from a very nice beach. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were all very nice and helpful. The only thing lacking was any English channels on the TV. Quite easy and quick to get into Malaga city center by Bus 3, 30 or 11.

Positive reviews about this hotel are so not true I booked this hotel bassed on the reviews. Price is nice pictures look good, but in reality it is super basic. Mattress was dirty quilt has no cover. TV screen was the same sizes as my tablet I am very much used to a lot of sound Myself residential in a busy seaside my appartemt is a kind of student apartment and it is often not quiet. But I really could not sleep in this hotel. I travel alone as a woman and I have not felt safe in this hotel or the surroundings, At check in the lady gets my bank card ten times through the machine She would not admite that the machine does not work. I ask her not to do that she enters my bank account number and makes and photo of my id card everything without consultation or asking for my permission Receptionist barely speak english after paying in cash I got a room on the ground floor number 103 The room smells like cat piss probably the cate came through the open window. Every conversation in the hallway you can follow in your room Staff chat the hole night true hard and loud she especiale must tell gast to be quiet take into account other guests My room was also nearby a lounge place with two ikea benches other guests will have a chat here. The goes my night rest again. Rules of the room do not smoke, drink, eat or prepare food, so you are only allowed to sleep. Beds okay, shower not enough water pressure no bags in the trash bins After a night I did check out. Fist de lady does not say a thing the one moment in Spanisch and then she did here administration task before helping me. So I had to wait for more than ten minutes. At check out the receptionists did not understand why I was cheking out. This women also does not speak or understands English. She did not look at my booking. She found it very normal that someone who booked four nights after one night already leaves she smilling very friendly. No offer for another room or money back or a apologies. For my a no go If you want to book this hotel take the negatief reviews very seriously.

I have spent a few vacations in this hotel. When I arrive, it feels like coming home! That is because the staff is very friendly and cordial. It is located in Pedregalejo, where many language schools are, a few kilometers from the citycenter. About every 10 minutes there are buses to the center and if it is not too hot, it is a nice walk to the center, along the coast. There are different types of rooms, spacious enough, with small bathrooms with a good shower. The rooms also have a safe. If you want, you can have a simple breakfast for €4,- inside or on the terrace. There is no elevator, if you cannot walk stairs, you should ask for a room on the groundfloor.

The Hotel is situated in good location close to beach and public transport to city center. Hotel Domus is very clean and modern with little front garden to sit and relax. Staff was very friendly. Great value for money. The only negative is other guests were a bit loud but unfortunately this is up to the individual not up to the hotel.

The Breakfast was limited only bread and cereal available with one glass of orange juice. I was told at half nine in the morning croissants are finished. The towels were ripped or wither poor quality. No hand wash provided in the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to stay for more than a night.

I stayed a few days here in December. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The television needs updating. There are not many channels and it is hard to find them. I had breakfast the first day. The price in the room said 3.5 Euros but in reality down stairs it was 4 Euros. Very poor for 4 Euros, an orange juice, a coffee and either a coisant or a toasted bread. Not good value considering it is Spain. I only had breakfast once. There is no elevator so you have to carry your bags up one flight of stairs. If your bags are not heavy then it is all right. The staff are reasonable friendly. The internet in my room did not work even though they told me there was a repeater in the hall way. I was not impressed as I had to come down stairs to have internet access. I was leaving late and they allowed me to stay later in my room which I appreciated a lot. Good marks for being flexible. Not a bad place from location. There is a bus nearby which is every 10 minutes and gets you to the centre in about 10 minutes. A nice walk to the centre along the coast road. Restaurants nearby and a lot of them along the beach. Some cafes and small bars also near by for breakfast or tapas.
