We stayed in this hotel in July 2006 for 12 nights. The hotel seemed nice when we arrived, but had a bad incident there. We accidentally left 400 euros in cash in the pocket of jeans and went to the beach. After we came back (an hour later) the money were gone. Of course I could put the money into... more

This hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained - with a modern theme. It's a bit characterless-more a business person's hotel in design, although there were plenty of holidaymakers there. We had a junior suite -which meant a larger room & bed (the bed was enormous!) The bathroom was great with a powerful separate walk in shower & jacuzzi bath.... more

We stayed at Hotel Maestranza for our honeymoon from April 30 to May 5. The hotel upgraded us to a junior suite at no charge. The room was beautiful, marble, hardwood, very modern look. Jacuzzi, waterfall shower, and the balcony had the mediterranian sea to the left and the gibraltafour wall and cathedral to the right. The staff were incredibly... more

I stayed there for one week and found the hotel was spotless and staff very friendly, even booking us a taxi to the airport without asking them. We stayed on the second floor and our only complaint was there was a club underneath the front of the hotel that went on till 6 am some nights, and you could hear the bass... more

I have just returned from a 3 day break alone to Malaga. Nice city - lots of art and history to absorb if you so desire. This is really a very authentic working and bustling city, not your infamous lager lout territory. Form the hotel to the city centre is a good 10 mins walk [leisurely pace] along a palm... more

I went with my husband in mid April and we booked trhough airmiles as it looked like the best deal for what was available. In fact we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and most spoke english. The breakfast buffet was very good value, although the coffee was awful (we ended up using the sachets... more

We stayed here for a week in March. Room very comfortable with balcony. It is probably better to be higher up than we were (4th floor) becaues of the relentless traffic. View from the terrace at top of building is amazing (bullring, Alcazaba). Other good points are lots of restaurants in the area around bullring. Good also for getting to... more

I booked this hotel through Winter Sunshine holidays and while they gladly took my money on the day of booking it took them 16 days to advise that they were overbooked. This left me in the difficult position of having to arrange new accommodation at very short notice. I would not use this hotel or Winter Sunshine Holidays again. I... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in early January and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel given our very cheap rate of 85 euro a night plus tax. The location was good, less than 10 minutes' walk to the main shopping area. The lobby was not madly impressive but how often do you see a nice lobby and disappointing rooms?... more

Went to visit Malaga for a weekend, stayed in the MS Maestranza for 3 nights. I would say that it is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, had very nice room which over looked the castle and the harbour. The room could not be faulted, was a great size and was cleaned every day. The staff were very... more
