I read the reviews of this hotel with trepidation before my visit. Don't be fooled by the photos of the spectacular view as half of this hotel overlooks a fairly busy and dusty street, with grey plastic awned tomato farms beyond on the hills - despite asking for a seaview (and willing to pay extra) this request was ignored and... more

Santa Rosa Hotel 3 star I rate this hotel to be the lowest standard i have ever encountered in 53 years of travelling, arriving late at night assumingly my first day of holiday we were on my request given a quick meal which consisted of a blob of mashed potato and two thin slices of cold pork for two to... more

"The Santa Rosa was appaulling! The staff were racist, rude, unwelcoming, unhelpful and the service was downright atrocious! Being a young couple ( myself white,my boyfriend asian ) we were made to feel extremely unwelcome, unwanted and left out, we booked half board so breakfast and dinner were included. On our first night we went down to the main restaurant... more

On arrival we thought we had the wrong palce - it looked like a building site. Hotel staff did not have a clue. We had no lights in our room and the receptionist (also waiter and handyman) brought some light bulbs but just shook his head when the lights still did not work. When we tried to go to the... more

Not a luxury hotel but £15/night each in June for B&B and DINNER!! Couldn't believe it would be ok but it was absolutely fine; dinner could be a bit boring (but a huge buffet of every kind of salad known to man was a good start)is the worst thing I can say,but that price, we didn't mind going out to... more

Basic hotel but very clean, rooms cleaned every day-quiet area but few bars along the beach. And really good small tapas place open for lunch at the end of the promenade on the main road (same side as the hotel) - 1 euro per tapas. Food at the hotel.... Breakfast isn't great - dry croissants, cold scrambled eggs and stale... more

Set on the beach, in quiet part of town. A basic hotel. Room recently decorated and staff friendly and helpful. 2 choices of 1st, second and third course at evening meal, but not to my taste - 1st course Fish soup or pickled pepper salad with fish on top 2nd grilled sardines or burger and chips 3rd sorbet we think... more

We wanted to avoid Christmas and find some sunshine. The Santa Rosa hotel in Malaga was the perfect setting and we found the prices very reasonable. We chose half board and didn't bother to hire a car. According to the website details a taxi from the airport to the hotel costs between 12 -14 euros, but, on arriving at the... more

stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in september, why attending a friends wedding in torrox. We paid only £12.00 per night to stay here and was pleasantly surprised by how roomy and clean the rooms where. Our room had three beds in it, tv and air conditioning. The room over looked the beach, (not the best of beaches in... more
