I was slightly disappointed when we arrived at Oceano Beach Hotel. From the price and reviews we had expected first class luxury. What we got was standard accommodation surrounded by loud Brits abroad. The room and service were fine but don't set your expectations up for anything other than that. more

I've stayed in many 5 star hotels all around the world. This was by far the most relaxing holiday I've ever had. The food was increadible (especially the seafood dishes.) I honestly didn't expect this. I have been to Barbados etc and this is on par with some of those overpriced hotels, easily. If you have a seaview room - and you need a mini suite for that - then the hotel is nice, breakfasts are excellent and the staff very helpful. But whilst you can ignore the dual carriageway that runs alongside, you can't ignore the dreadful live music they insist on arranging at every opportunity. I your idea of paradise is... more
