The El Fuerte is the best hotel in Marbella. A perfect location, fantastic beach club with the best paella! The refurb has brought it back to its best. more

Hotel All members of the hotel staff were helpful, friendly and went out of their way to answer my questions or queries. The hotel was very clean and the common areas well maintained. The hotel is very well positioned, right on the beach and 5 minutes from the old town. Breakfast Breakfast was a huge selection from the full cold... more

Stayed here for a 4 night break following reviews on here and was not dissapointed. The hotel is a bit old fashioned but the location makes up for this. 2 mins walk from the shops and restaurants of the old town and right on the beach promenade. Would recommend booking a sea view room as these have balconies even the... more

If you want to have a Spanish experience this is not the hotel for you. This hotel caters to English and German tourist for the most part, and has no Spanish flare. Breakfast was very bad English food. Baked beans and over cooked ham. Our room was small and the view was of a rundown apt building "Mediterriano" My wife and... more

We stayed here on our way round Andalucia and loved it! From the minute we arrived and our hire car was parked for us to when we left, the staff and the hotel were brilliant. We didn't have a sea view room but were on the side of the hotel which was fine. The room was spacious, with very comfy... more

Stayed here for a week with our mum's. A great place for the older traveller. Excellent location, spotlessly clean, very friendly welcoming staff in beautiful gardens. The weather was not the best and I can't think of a better place to hang out. A lovely lounge area with sea views and non smoking! A great place to chat and meet... more

We recently stayed at the El Fuerte for my hen weekend, there was 15 of us. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were great, we had 8 rooms and we were all given sea views, they treated us brillantly. The facilities are great, the indoor pool lovely. The terraces were great and overlooking the sea so had a wonderful... more

We spent 5 days at El Fuerte in Marbella at the end of October 2007. It really was an excellent stay, honestly, I cannot find a single negative thing to say. 1. Definitely get a front seaview room. Thanks to the excellent location of the hotel, you can watch the sun from sunrise until sunset sitting on your balcony. 2.... more

I was a bit worried about going to this hotel as there are some negitive reviews here... but I need not have worried... it was great.. The hotel is very well positioned, the best in Marbella, right on the beach (with its own beach Club) 3 min walk to the "Old Town" The staff where helpful, friendly (without being over... more

This was probably the best hotel we have stayed in and we have travelled a lot! Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so cannot comment on the evening meals, but the breakfasts, which were served until 10.30am, were comprehensive. My husband had cornflakes, toast, bacon and freshly... more
