Forget the gaudy, tasteless playground for the rich label, for a flavour of authentic Marbella you can't beat the atmosphere or the great food, reasonably priced, of the (casco antiguo) old town. Here you can admire the arab walls, investigate the remains of the 10th century fortress and wonder at the harmonious mix of Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic and Moorish architecture.... More

I stayed here in April with two other friends and I had a great time! 3 days and 2 nights we stayed. I enjoyed the wonderful, beautiful pool in a beautiful garden, with beautiful palm trees, it looked just like a tropical garden! The rooms are large, with a large terrace. We had a delicious sandwich toaster so we could eat in... More

Spent a week at the Sultan Club with family (wife and 2 teenage girls) in late October 2011. That was the week the Costa Del Sol had some impressive storms which left the beaches a bit battered but we still had a good time. Marbella in late October has a relaxed more Spanish feel and is all the better for... More

This was our second time staying at the Sultan Club and we will definitely return again. Location is perfect with hotel set in a lovely avenue with palm trees and cherry blossom like trees; few minutes walk to the beach and about 20 minutes walk to the Old Town but if you take the scenic beach route to the Old... Nice looking foyer, very quick check-in and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful letting us into our rooms early and putting our 3 rooms next to one another as requested. The room had a fusty smell though and the decor was very dated, awful chintz curtains and bed trims. The sheets were much too small for the bed... More

If you're taking your family to Marbella, this is a good choice. Nice reception area, Spa, restaurant & bar of course. Ok swimming-pool in the back yard. The apartments are nice with a balcony either facing the road or the pool-area. I'm not sure what to recommend because both choices has benefits. Its a nicer view on the pool-side, but... More

The hotel is in a great location, however the entire hotel/decor needs to be updated. furniture outdated and glass coffee tables etc very dangerous and not suitable for families with little children. Bathroom, needs updating , new hairdryers etc. Kitchen basic but we didnt use this. Breakfast which is an additonal charge is really bad and it looks like the... More

Hotel looks great in the lobby but the rooms need updating (furniture has has some wear and tear). The kitchen is not well supplied (no cutting board, bread knife only), no kettle. On the up side the location is great, one block to the beach with a lot going on, restaurants etc. and a quick walk to the old town.... More

We had intended in staying 14 nights at a private apartment 332 at the Jardines del Mar which is across the road from the Sultan Club. We only stayed one night it was terrible. Fortunately the Jardines del Mar reception told us to go to the Sultan where the reception staff were very helpfulj. They found us a room for... More
