Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my wife stayed for a night at The Hotel El Faro in Marbella for a night. The Hotel is clean and the room was quite large and the bed very comfortable. My only gripe would be that our room was on the 5th floor and there was a school opposite our window below, so we got woken at 7.30am by the pupils making a fair amount of noise as they arrived. The breakfast was satisfactory but nothing special. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Marbella, a 5 minute walk to the beach. Would probably go back again.

This 3-star apartment hotel is better than many 4 stars hotels we have been in. The staff was kind and helpful and parking was available. Pool view from the room was nice and so was swimming in it. The room had nice furnishment and a possibility to cook for yourself. The lobby bar was also nice and pretty. Cleaning was good and the cleaning lady polite. The location was very convenient at the city center. Overall value for money was good. If we visit Marbella city center again, we will come back here!

On the whole this is a good hotel for the price we paid. The positives are the central location and friendly staff. However, the rooms are a little bit tired and if you're unlucky enough to be facing the road on a low floor, you can expect some late night noise from the bar directly outside. Sometimes the noise continued until gone 1 am. Considering that we're relatively light sleepers, it kept us up a couple nights. The pool is also a lot smaller than the pictures indicate, so be warned if that's important to you. None the less, a decent hotel for the price which is right in the middle of Marbella. So would the recommend if it satisfies your budget.

Good 3-star hotel. Very nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was OK but the food overall was not that great. Good thing is that this hotel have a great location so you are always close to a good restaurant. Location is it’s absolute biggest advantage. However, as written in many other reviews as of July-22, the whole street in front of the hotel is being “modernized”. It’s a big construction site with workers starting to work at 7 AM. This not only create noise (if you have a room towards the street) but it also prevents taxis from driving closer than ~150 meters to the hotel. Last “mile” you will have to walk and I can see this being a huge challenge for some people. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much.

I’ve just got back from 3 nights with 5 friends and stayed here - we will all be re-booking. We are 6 professionals who don’t have “low” standards but wanted a more affordable accommodation against silly Marbella prices. I want to start by saying the people who are complaining about the road works need to get a grip - from taxi drop off to the front door of hotel it’s literally a 3 minute walk and it’s completely manageable. The staff are super super accommodating, friendly and helpful. The location is THE BEST, literally minutes walk to the beach / bars / restaurants on sea front and about 10/15 minute walk to the old town centre. Rooms are basic but have all you need and are kept clean with room service every day. Honestly, i don’t know what more you could want! Thank you for hosting us and we will be back!
