Location wise you do need a car, and you have to pay for parking at the hotel (€10 per day) but we have found this to be normal with Spanish hotels. Perfect Location, clean rooms, excellent facilities. The staff at the Barcelo were lovely. They even let us go back to our room when we came back from the beach, after we had checked out so that we could shower before we got on the plane. You need a car is if you want to go into Puerto Banus though. more

We booked a last minute standard room on Expedia to the Barcelo. I would recommend this hotel as the service, food, pool and general communal areas were all of a high standard. More than adequate for a golf weekend - great value (via expedia). Unlike most hotels in Spain this felt better than its official star rating - could pass for bottom end of 5* if pushed.
