Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Hotel's Favourite
Excellent Hotel with all the amenities you could ask for. We have just returned from Torremolinos and our 11 night stay at the Don Pablo. We really enjoyed our time there and the Staff and Room Service were top class. The hotel entrance is from Calle del Bajondillo and our coach transfer dropped us off and picked us up from this entrance (bus pull- in is right outside hotel). We arrived around 13:00 and were early so as our room wasn't ready, we put our cases in a nearby storage room, had a walk around until roughly 14:30 and checked in then. We were in room 1202 which has a wrap around balcony offering superb sea views and a view over the swimming pools. We could also see the entertainment stage and the seating deck which was located above the dining hall. We went for half board and have no complaints about the food quality of either breakfast or evening meal. However, be aware this dining hall is large and there are no "overheads" to guide you and the food description notices were on the small side. We saw quite a few people picking the notices up to enable them to be read. You can either take the stairs or lift down to the beach level where there is an exit down beside the All Blacks pub onto the roadside. Cross the road and you are on the promenade which has separate pedestrian and cycle lanes. The beach is right in front of you ! There are shops under the hotel pool/sun lounger areas and you can get your "room supplies" there. This is our second visit to Torremolinos and we like the 30-40 minute transit time from the airport plus the good public transport in and around the town. Torremolinos Train station has recently has an 8 million euro upgrade and you can get down to Fuengirola or up to Malaga very easily and cheaply. We bought 10-journey tickets which give a large discounted travel option but be aware for some reason you need your passport in order to purchase this multi journey ticket, I've no idea why ! We will certainly return to Torremolinos and the Don Pablo is firm favourite to get our custom.

Very plan decor. No luxury. Not even a kettle supplied. We booked over the phone for 2 rooms both overlooking the sea. We got sunny side sea view. Feel conned as we paid extra for this. I did complain and i am still waiting for jet2 call back. The view is of a shower screen to the left and right. Staff kept the room clean daily. Only one Restaurant. staff are fast and efficient and polite. Could do with more variety theme nights . food was good. Bar staff are poor 13 people in a queue one person serving. No customer service at front desk. Unhappy grumpy staff that took 35.mins to check us in and no smile or information given. Air con dosent work till April. Had to move rooms to the other side of the hotel that gets sun only in the morning but I needed to breath and high winds through out the rest of the day and Night. Had given up by then. Walked into torremolinos daily as nothjng to.do where the hotel was during the day. Indoor pool is Baltic and I'm from Scotland colder than the north sea 🌊 Entertainment is singing 9.30pm most evening's. Stretching during the day for exercise. Def a 2 star 🌟

Hotel was much better than expected. Quick 2 night break. Balcony was a sun trap which was unexpected. Breakfast great - we didn’t have any other meals but definitely didn’t get any interruptions from refurb work at neighbouring hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Upon arrival, it’s certainly a beautiful hotel, especially the entrance lobby. It’s a good distance from the beach and local restaurants, which is a plus point. However!! 1 - the food is awful. I mean; they need to win an award for getting what should be tasty food to be so bland 2 - my room which was supposed to have a pool view. It did in fact look over an empty swimming pool. I’m guessing it was broken so they drained it! Shocking. 3 - my room was infested with ants. Crawling all over my bed. When I told reception about it they simply said they’d let housekeeping know. No apology. I took a video of them all over my bed (can’t upload but take my word for it, there were LOTS) 4 - no air con. In Feb / March they don’t turn it on - they only have heat blasting out so it got very stuffy at night I think the plus points are it’s a good location from the beach. There’s a shop right opposite. However I’m afraid to say having ants all over my bed, no air con, an empty swimming pool view and rubbish food means I would not recommend this hotel.

Disappointing. Poor quality room furnishings. Laminate flooring in bedroom.Cheap/ stained carpet on landings. White furniture tired. In need of maintenance(see pics). Nowhere near the standard of this hotel as it used to be prior to refit.

Visited to celebrate my 60th had a wonderful stay. Food was amazing. A wide selection plenty of choice and cooked freshly sometimes in front of you. Breakfast was busy but you never felt crowded or uncared for and the was prosecco on the buffet if you felt the need! Lunch was quieter but equally efficient and fresh. Evening was busier but equally well organised. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pedro even liked rugby and surfing and was extremely friendly. All the staff from reception, the bars, the pool attendants and room service staff were friendly and pleasant. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We will visit again.

We have been traveling around Europe the last 3 months and this is the 1st four star hotel that didn't have a coffee machine in the room. Also, didn't have tissues, and an iron. Every night we had to go to the bar and stand in line to get some hot water for our night tea.

3rd time to this hotel and cannot fault it . Food excellent value for money and very good quality, rooms and public areas spotless. Yes there is building work going on in the Don Marco but totally disagree with a previous reviewer over noise level we found it to be minimal and not in the slightest disturbing (the work has to be done sometime) . Would definitely return for another visit .
