When we realised that this hotel was actually 40 odd km from Cazorla, up the narrowest windiest road ever, my heart sank. I was actually about to turn around and go back to the Parador, however I am SO glad we didn't! The hotel is an old coaching inn on the side of the road, with some covered parking opposite. It has a nice old-fashioned reception area, with a big fireplace and really welcoming staff! There is a bar and a restaurant, a terrace and a lovely pool area.
The room was small and perhaps a little tired, but it had everything we needed - fridge, storage, tv, and nice bed - and the bathroom was absolutely fine.
It is perfectly located for walking in the Cazorla National Park ( although don't try the 7 hour one that we did - it took 9 hrs! ) and for all the other activities available there.
However, the nicest thing about this hotel is the people - the family that run it are so friendly, putting up with our dodgy Spanish, and trying their hardest to make us feel...
