Overall I like this hotel, no frills but nice, the builing is so old and pretty cool, the rooms are small but clean and warm, Bathroom are small aswell. But if your just looking for a hotel that is downtown and has some history then go here, it even has orange and lemon trees in the yard, The location is... more

Some other reviews say the same, this is not a three star hotel. It deserves just one star if you consider their standard rooms: old furniture, expensive, terrible bathroom. It looks like many hotels used to be in Spain in the seventies. It is well located, but you have more centric hotels the same price and better and newer rooms.... more

Well if you are looking for Grand Hotel you better head somewhere else and pay 150+ Euro per night but if you want to be immersed in the history and do not mind staying at s simple yet clean and historic place then this hotel is the one.It is defiantly worth the stay if you are not looking to be... more

We stayed here as part of our (self-organised) tour of cordoba, seville and granada. Whilst the rooms were OK, the public areas were notable by their absence. The open cloisters and courtyard might have been great in summer but in one of the coldest spells Spain has ever seen (-3 in Granada while we were here), there was little to... more

The architecture is lovely. Has charm. The staff at the reception is nice for most of them (3 out of 4). Just the rooms and especially the restaurant look like the ones of an average boarding school . The quality of the food for the breakfast is below average - or average if you eat everything ;-) and are not... more

I recently stayed in the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was modern, extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated in simple neutral colours. Excellent value for money. The hotel is excellently situated for easy walking to the town centre bars and restaurants. It combines cloistered peaceful corridors and courtyard with all the modern facilities one could... more

Most venues rate the Macia Monasterio Los Basilios as a three-star hotel but we think it deserves only one. The building is charming but the furniture in the rooms and common areas reminded us of homeless shelters we've volunteered at. We think there are so many alternatives in Granada for the same or a few more Euros to choose instead.... more

This hotel is situated in a fantastic location in Granada. It is just a 5 minute walk to the 'Navas' a street where you will find plenty of tapas bars and atmosphere at lunch time and at night. It is also within walking distance of the Alhambra. Don't listen to people who say it is an awful hotel as this... more

I spent two nights here, after staying one night at the Casa del Capitel del Nazari, which was full so I had to leave. I was so disappointed! This hotel was more expensive but had so much less to offer. Although the hotel's in a former monastery, and the courtyard on the first floor is lovely, the rooms are modern,... more
