Manuel, the host, insisted on returning my rental car to central Granada on the Monday morning that it was due so I would not miss my entry time to the Alhambra. He refused to take payment for this courtesty. more

The hotel is a house on a hill that is very difficult to get to, but worth it because of the freindly and courteous staff, the clean rooms, and the location near the Alhambra. The breakfast was cold foods, ham, cheese, pastries) with toast and coffee or tea (the coffee was excellent!). Sofia was particularly helpful in obtaining our tickets... more

First the good. The staff is wonderful. Sophia and Manuel, thank you for all of your help, your courtesy and most of all your patience. Well done. The rooms are nicely apportioned and large enough for two. My wife and I stayed in the Torre room with its amazing views looking over Granada and a nice sized terrace with which... more

We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon. The hotel deserves it's number 1 rating. Beautifully presented, relaxed atmosphere, contemporary well decorated rooms with great tasteful pieces of art. Whilst it's certainly an uphill walk to get there, it's well worth it for the amazing views of the City. more

I’m happy to report that the Alcubilla lives up to all of the positive reviews I have seen on Trip Advisor. We stayed for four nights in September, travelling independently from Malaga by the excellent, cheap and efficient Spanish coach service. We took a cab from the bus station in Granada, doing as the hotel suggested and asking to be... more

As the reviews said, this is a lovely hotel. We stayed in one of the most expensive rooms and we had a lovely terrace, with a view of the city and the mountains. We loved to relax on the terrace after a long day's sightseeing. Our most expensive place on our trip, we feel it was worth the cost. Manuel... more

We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and were left stranded at a wrong location on a hot and steamy afternoon. When we called the hotel--whose location even the owner's admit is difficult to find--we were given no assistance to get to the hotel. We didn't know how to get a taxi (we were left on a... more

My husband and I stayed 2 nigths in this hotel, in the room called "La Torre" that has a great view of the city. The owner of the hotel is always nearby lookin for something else to help the guests. The location is great as you can go everywhere by walk, mainly to Alhambra, that is about 10-15 minutes walking.... more

Manuel, the owner, could not be nicer or more helpful. He helps you park your car if needed on this small, narrow street and helps you find your way. Good location, an easy walk above town. So beautiful, built on hill with wonderful views. Lovely gardens. Breakfast on patio, if you should like. We had room with balcony and truely... more

Chosen as No 1 on here. Quite easy to find as they give you great directions. The steep pathway down to the hotel from parking is not very far but can be quite slippy in Birkenstocks, so take care - that goes for all of Granada. Pleasant walk up to the Alhambra, if you've an afternoon ticket make sure you... more
