After having a bad experience with a hostel in Cadiz, not having called before to confirm that reservation, we vowed not to make the same mistake again in our next city, Sevilla. We called to confirm our reservation three times, each time being told we would be called back. That call never came, but we forged ahead with our confirmation number and reservation print-out. Well, what do you know, instead of confirming our reservation, the reservation office (off-site from the hostel) cancelled it instead! We were lucky to have a very helpful person at the front desk that day find a place for the 5 of us to stay (though we were split up into groups of 3 and 2) in Friends and a sister hostel nearby, Picasso. The facilities here are clean and the staff helpful, there are two free computers to use, a beautiful, funky lobby and a rooftop terrace. And it's close to just about everything you'd want to do in Sevilla. Confirm your reservation with caution! more
