We had a superior room and found it spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good value and service prompt and efficient. Location excellent - we walked to all the sights. more

We spent three nights at the Alcantara and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was modest but clean and the staff was very helpful. However, it is the location that really makes the hotel a good bet in Seville. A taxi will get you close, but you must walk a block or two down cobblestone lanes to reach the... more

The room was pretty average and very small, but clean enough. The location could not be beat, and the price was good. I would recommend it. more

Its location, reasonable room-rate, and friendly staff are Hotel Alcantara's chief selling-points: 1. Through winding lanes, the cathedral and Alcazar are only about a ten-minute walk. Several cafes and more formal eateries are even closer. (Among them is a quite good Japanese restaurant, Kaede.) 2. At about €90 (US$135) a night -- after a 10% discount for showing Rick Steves's... more

This hotel is quite convenient, and tucked into the old town cobbleways. The room size and bathroom size was decent; air con was good. Shampoo, shower gel and clean towels were provided. Hairdryer was provided too, I think. Downstairs, there is a nightly flamenco show which is convenient as you need to book. A downside was that there was no... more

Following encouraging reviews from Tripadvisor, we spent 3 nights at this hotel, which proved to be ideally located to explore Seville and (contrary to some previous reports) not difficult to access by taxi. We had requested a quiet upstairs room and our room on the third floor was perfect in this respect. The room was spacious, light, clean and functional... more

Absolutely brilliant location for a city trip to Seville. Right in the centre of Santa Cruz the beautiful old Town with lots of restaurants and bars on your doorstep. About a five minute walk to the Giralda (cathedral) and five more to the Alcazar. The lovely cobbled streets and row upon row of apartment blocks with overlookng balconies is a... more

My husband, adult daughter, and I stayed at Hotel Alcantara for 3 nights in late September. Its quiet location in the old Jewish barrio and its proximity to fabulous Flamenco performances around the corner at Los Gallos made dragging our suitcases from the car park a couple of blocks away well worth the effort. Benito and his sister Andrea were... more

I had a terrible experience with the Hotel Alcantara and would never consider staying there in the future. One week before leaving California, I made a reservation to spend my first two nights at the Hotel Alcantara, fully aware of their 48-hour cancellation policy. I had no way of knowing what disasters were going to hit. My first flight that... more

I had never before written any answer to either good or bad reviews on Trip Advisor as I think most people can read between the lines and really get the right picture of your property without any intervention on our side but I will make an exception in this case because I do not want Mrs. or anybody to get...
