We stayed at the Petit Palace Santa Cruz for five nights in July 2008. The good: -Fantastic location. Wonderfully central to all of the sights, good restaurants, and in a quirky Santa Cruz neighborhood with winding medieval streets. -Good standard of cleanliness in the rooms. -Amazing air conditioning. Quaint location, not far from the main tourist area. You walk in and the hotel definitely has the wow factor in the stylish foyer. The rooms were comfy and practical, but given the modernity and greyness wouldn't go there for any romance, however was great for me and a mate to share. I really liked this hotel. For one it is in a convient location behind placa de espagna. Everything is walking distance. The people at the desk are super nice. The rooms are good size, with ac that works really well. The shower is the best part. The free internet definitly helps. more

Excellent location on a quiet square. Room (212) very small with only window opening onto breakfast courtyard. However, this became something of a blessing with the weather being very warm indeed -gave us instant shade.Very good air-conditioning. Bathroom a pain, however. Quite good. The rooms were hi-tech and came with a LCD TV en-suite, and air con but the let down was that it didn't serve food and let pets in a lovely building to mess it up. more

This hotel was lovely, set in an old style mansion house, but bang up to date on the inside, including mini bar, air conditioning, wifi in the room and hi def (I think) TV. The ensuite bathroom was similarly modern with an excellent shower and spotlessly clean. Petit Palace Santa Cruz is set on a tiny plaza just 5-10 minutes... more
