My partner and I booked a double private room for our first two nights in San Sebastian. Upon arrival we were told to leave our bags in the hall and come back in an hour so that our room could be prepared. When we went back the door to our room was open so we assumed that it was ok... more
To be honest, aside from the location, I didn't like the hostel. It was more like an apartment; we stayed from a Monday to a Friday and not once did anyone even do so much as empty the bins in the rooms. The room we got was a twin and we were charged €40 each which was pretty expensive considering... more
Kaixo hostel was in fact an apartment with several rooms and a common kitchen. The kitchen had good equipment, e.g. micro wave, washing machine, large fridge and a stove. Rooms had a safety deposit, free of charge. I suppose other rooms had a window, but mine didn’t. No TV in the rooms or in the common area. The sound insulation…well... more
