We have been to this hotel many times over the past 12 years.
It is a place for total peace and tranquillity, a place for couples, perhaps on a special occasion break. This is not (thank goodness) anything like a seaside Majorcan hotel where you find screaming children and people crammed together in endless rows.
Instead, it is a marvellous and charming place for exploring Palma’s Old Town, the rest of the city and other parts of Majorca. The 12 rooms are all named after composers, and are all differently furnished. There is a lovely roof terrace with sunloungers, parasoles and a fridge stocked with soft drinks. It has stunning views of shipping passing into the harbour. The beautifully peaceful patio downstairs has an honesty bar from which you can help yourself to drinks, or there is free sherry for the early evening. Tea is served in the Monet kitchen, and you can take it out to the patio or sit in the winter by a roaring log fire in the salon.
