We stayed at the San Lorenzo for 2 nights. It was kind of a self-service place - staff was not visible at all times, the lobby was usually unmanned, and the bar was always empty. Having done our homework on this place before booking it, we found it exactly as expected and simply loved it. If your expectation is 24/7 round the clock service, chain-style conformity, and staff with perfect English do not book here. The hotel is small and private with just a handful of bedrooms. They advertise it as wanting you to feel 'at home' which you very much do, the hotel is secure as the front gate requires a code for entry. Staff leave you to it, if you want pampering and attention all the time the hotel is not for you.... more
