We arrived on the Saturday and the hotel seemed okay but could do with a little bit of an upgrade. Very quiet for the first two days, just as it had been advertised, then Monday arrived along with lots of SAGA holiday makers. The hotel seems to be oblivious to their other guests onces they arrive, and all entertainment is... more

Very clean and very good food. Spoilt by not enough restaurant staff. No one to take luggage to room (I'm in a wheelchair). No one to remove matresses from sunloungers if it rains. Everyone got wet bums from sitting on one unknowingly! No one to serve drinks around pool. Beware of extra charge for sea views on arrival. more

Upon arrival we were told we could not get access into our room till 2pm and we had been up all night travelling. When we were showed our room it was facing a derelict site no pool or sea view at all. We were moved the following day which by that time we had used 2 days of our holiday.... more

The staff were unfailingly enthusiastic, friendly and keen to help. The rooms that overlook the road at the side of the Hotel are large but have a very poor view. If you have a view of a not-quite-started building site then ask at reception for a better view of pool or sea. Cheaper to upgrade at the hotel rather than... more

Just returned from this hotel and had a great holiday. This was our first time to Minorca and we were very impressed. We opted to stay in Es Castell as it was the old part of the island and use it as a base and explore the rest of the island. Es Castell is a typical Spanish old town very... more

Our second stay at this very comfortable, clean hotel. We booked through travelrepublic paying just under £300 for the two of us for one weeks half board which we thought was unbelievably good value. We do not normally stay half board but as we couldn't book just bed and breakfast we thought we just wouldn't bother with the evening meals.... more

My Husband and I booked a half-board package deal to come here in June 06 for 1 week with our 3 year old. On arrival our at we were informed our room wouldn't be ready for a few hours. OK if you have booked flights / hotel seperately, but this is the first time this has happened to us on... more

We booked our stay at the Barcelo Hamilton as a package from Madrid and stayed for a week in July 06. ROOMS/HOTEL: problem was the Air Conditioner. They say the rooms are air conditioned, but don't tell you that they turn it off during the hours of 10am and 2pm- by the time it came back on, it was a... more

We have just returned from the Hotel Hamilton, having spent a week there, the hotel itself I felt was a little bit tired looking, especially in the bedrooms. The restaurant was always clean with a varied menu in the evenings, a good selection if you like fish, which unfortunately my Husband does'nt, so he had some difficulties with evening meal.The... more
