“ FABULOUS HOTEL – ONE CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND” Kent Stayed – 25th Dec 2009 to 2nd Jan 2010 Trip Type – Elderly Couple plus Daughter We wanted to get away to somewhere warm, and stay at an upmarket Hotel/ Parador, which was quiet and had lovely Sea Views and we were not disappointed. Even though it was built about 35... more

I stayed at the Parador in October 2008 and it was great. The hotel is built in a traditional spanish villa style with lots of small courtyards throughout the building. The location is on the top of a hill overlooking the harbour and marina of San Sebastian and the cliff top gardens span 180 degrees with views across the channel... more

A hair-raising taxi ride takes you from the Port up the previously-described hairpin-bended hill to the Parador. The hotel is set on a headland overlooking the port, the sea and in the distance, Tenerife. It has a marvellous feeling of antiquity, although only built 33 years ago in very “old Spanish” style, with appropriate furniture and decor, and has the... more

The Parador is a superb hacienda-like building on top of a cliff. The road up is steep and not without problems by car. It is well worth the journey. The city fathers have let the parador down, as the area around the place is poorly zoned and not suitable for strolling around. There is much to praise. The public rooms,... more

I'll strat this review by saying we did not stay - only to have lunch. We'd missed the ferry from Playa Santiago and having had one of the worst meals of my life in San Sebastian the previous night, asked a taxi driver to take me to the Parador. I've stayed in Parador's all over Spain and they differ greatly... more

From start to finish this was one of the most memorable holidays we have had and the Parador experience did not fail to please. The service was subtle in all areas and suited the quiet and relaxing stay we had envisaged in La Gomera. The room was perfect, exceptionally clean and we wanted for nothing. The pool area had exceptional... more

With a position like this overlooking the harbour and beach of San Sebastian this Parador should be better. It was the most expensive hotel during our stay in the Canary Islands but was not really worth it. As so often with the Paradors nowadays they seem to be resting on their past glory and at times seem stuck in a... more

Locally, this hotel is called the Parador Nacional because it was built by the government. It looks and feels very old and historic despite being built during the last 30 years. Most hotel photographs exaggerate the physical beauty of an establishment or its location. No photos I’ve seen can do this place justice. The enormous and spacious grounds, patios and... more

We were a group of 17 going to enjoy New Year in La Gomera. The Parador seemed to be the perfect choice based on our experiences in others. There was no disappointment. The staff were extremely attentive and patient with our boisterous group. We had no problem getting drinks at the bar. The very helpful staff at the front desk... more
