We stayed for a week at this hotel in 2007, and going back again to Las Palmas this year we wanted to stay here again. And yes, the place is still a 5 star experience! There has also been made some small refurbishments that makes the hotel look even better. First of all, this hotel is a grand old lady.... More

I think i should mention like many others have before, that this is certainly not a 5 star hotel. Of course i didn't expect to pay as much as i did for a real 5 star hotel.. but the impression i got when i walked in the lobby, was a bit different than the one that i got, when i... More

We only popped in there to have a look at it and we were mightily impressed. This is a seriously top hotel; easily the best in Las Palmas. It has very well-dressed staff; beautifully -laid tables with heavy cutlery and well-ironed white linen. It has a large open-air pool with plenty of room for sun-exposure. Each Sunday morning, from 10.30... More

the welcome is quite good, check in friendly and fast, direct reservation, the rooms are facing the park a very nice, big, clean, furniture colonial style, the bathroom is quite small, you have to organize your couple life before shower. For diner go to Rias Bajas, perfect spanish kitchen, what ever you order. The Breakfast in the Hotel has a very... More

This rebuilt hotel is in very nice condition. The rooms are a good size all with a balcony of some kind. Breakfast is a nice buffet, and the formal dining room is excellent. The bar service is either very slow or very efficient, depends on who the servers are. More

We returned from a week at Hotel Santa Catalina last week and really enjoyed our experience there. We initially had a twin bed room at the back of the hotel with a little wooden balcony but asked for double which they found us. This was at the side of the hotel over looking the entrance to the casino and a... More

We have just returned from a disappointing experience at the Santa Catalina Hotel. THe location is superb: a wonderful old building with an elegant lobby, seating areas and park in front. There's a modern spa which is excellent- good for cool and cloudy days in winter. Our mistake was to book half board. Half board means inferior food. The chef... More

Set in beautifully tended gardens, away from the city noise, this over 100 year old hotel retains its charm but without the pomposity and snobby atmosphere of many other big hotels. In contrast to some other reviewers we found that from the beginning the staff were more than helpful and friendly, although we were staying there in the middle of... More

This lovely colonial styled hotel has a great heritage of class and service. We had a great, undisturbed and pleasant stay here. We found a deal on hotels.com that made our stay very laudable. The room, as well as the public areas, were very well looked after. We didn't get the king sized bed we asked for (and the only... More

We went here for Christmas and we made the right choice. This beautiful old building is in a fantastic park and it was up like a Christmas tree. We had a cutrain of LED's on our balcony, but a wide enough gap to see through. The Christmas gala dinner was good but a bit dull. The price level in bar,... More
